VERY nice campground. Beautiful and quiet lake. Visited on Memorial Day weekend 2009.  Saw hummingbirds at campsite as well as deer and racoons.  Trout fishing was good too. Loved the small crowd! Says Alicia

 the things you can do here at Quemado Lake Campground are swimming, hiking, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.

Get your sleeping bag packed and head out on the road; Quemado Lake Campground, New Mexico is a great location for getting out.

    from Quemado Lake Campground; unsurprisingly, this is a delightful neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Quemado Lake is a lake close by. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the San Francisco Mountains. There
  is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to Quemado Lake Campground called the Leslie Spring Trail, and El Morro National Monument is a good place nearby. This campground is always a bliss. Going for a hike on the Sawmill Camp Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Canon de Lolo is another magnificent location to go to nearby. There are good locations to discover along the Escondido Trail.
