National Forest is a great site to stretch your legs a bit. Pueblo Park Campground is not far at all from Blue, and going for a hike on the Apache Peak Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Go for a hike on the The Catwalk National Recreation Trail, and if you don’t have
a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blue River. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the exciting stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's completely out of the question to get bored. Not much precipitation
falls here at Pueblo Park Campground; during August this area sees the most rain, and May is the month with the least moisture. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the San Francisco Mountains has to offer. Near Pueblo Park Campground you hit upon the Foote Creek Seventy-six Trail which is a glorious hiking trail; close by Dangerous Park Canyon is a splendid spot to go.
