During your tour to Overlook Campground you'll meet some folks from Chimayo for sure; going for a hike on the Rio en Medio Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Not much rain falls here at Overlook Campground; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is usually the driest month. | to spend some time. There are so many exciting things next to Overlook Campground, and if you're trying to locate a perfect site to go camping, this is a nice selection. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Rio Santa Cruz; naturally, everyone loves Hyde Memorial State Park. Some people select Overlook Campground when they come to check out Santa Fe National Forest. Lake close to Overlook Campground is a tremendous location to visit, and the Medio Dia Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so getting bored
is not something that is likely to happen. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Overlook Campground. You can run the rapids of Rio Embudo right next door to Overlook Campground, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the
Sierra Mosca Trail. If time allows, Santa Fe National Historic Trail is a national park worth taking a look at; you can go for a hike on the Agua Sarca Trail. There's some flowing water close by, Rio Medio is a stream you can stop at during your stay, and there is a delightful
hiking trail nearby called the Rio Frijoles Trail. The tremendous local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will absolutely have you coming back again and again. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Do pay a visit to Bandelier National Monument since you're
here at Overlook Campground, and Rio Grande is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. This campground is a delightful place to check out. Santa Cruz Reservoir Dam is a delightful place right next door to Overlook Campground; the snow is magnificent at Ski Santa Fe.
