  Some people camp here to be close to Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. You truly must fancy the Black Range. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sawmill Wagon Road Trail; one of the principal features of the surroundings of McMillan Campground is T X Mountain.
Don't leave McMillan Campground without first going for a hike along the Signal Peak Trail, and if you've had enough of McMillan Campground, Tadpole Lake is close by. Such a great choice of attractions and such an incredible array of things to do are good motives to come.
This campground
    is so gorgeous. Take a hike on the Allie Canyon Trail, and a journey to City of Rocks State Park is a great idea. This is beyond doubt a magnificent campground. Good hiking is available along the Lookout Trail.

principal characteristic in the region is the Pinos Altos Range, and the nice people of Gila like to hang out nearby. There's such an incredible array of things to do at McMillan Campground including swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of entertaining stuff to do won’t happen. This camp ground is one of the splendid places to camp here in the Black Range.
McMillan Campground is a popular spot with residents of Gila. McMillan Campground gets very little precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain; April on the
 
other hand is the driest.
Man, is there plenty of enjoyable things to do close to McMillan Campground. A tour to Gila National Forest when you're here at McMillan Campground is never a bad idea, and if you come at the right time of year, Gila River offers some great whitewater. It's bad for you to spend all your time indoors; you need to get out of the house every now and then, and McMillan Campground in New Mexico is the outdoors at its finest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around McMillan Campground; Black Peak Trail is a tremendous local trail; a tour to Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is worthwhile.
During the warm days of summer at McMillan Campground highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; overnight lows in the 10's for McMillan Campground. New Mexico has so much stuff to offer nature lovers.
