McMillan Campground, Black Range, New Mexico

The Pinos Altos Range is a major characteristic of the vicinity around McMillan Campground; if you're here you can take a hike along the Allie Canyon Trail. Going for a hike along the Sawmill Wagon Road Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and a visit to Gila National Forest rejuvenates the soul.     year, Gila River offers some wonderful whitewater.

Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Black Range. City of Rocks State Park is a great place, and hiking along the Lookout Trail is glorious fun.
Not much rain falls here at McMillan Campground; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and April on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the long summer days at McMillan Campground highs are regularly in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 50's, and night lows at McMillan Campground throughout the wintertime frequently dip into the 10's.
