The 1,600 feet of drop at close by Red River is real pleasure. Red River gets covered by 18 feet of wonderful snow per winter on its 58 ski slopes that are served by its 7 good ski lifts. 290 acres of skiable area is on hand at Red River; beginner and intermediate ski slopes account for 70% while hard ski slopes make up 30% of the ski slopes. There are great ski slopes for everybody at Red River. There's a wonderful 2,612-foot drop to take pleasure in at the nearby ski area Taos.
