Mallette Campground, Sangre De Cristo Mountains, New Mexico   Mallette Campground is extremely popular with people from Cerro. While you're here at Mallette Campground you can take a hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail, and one of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Mallette Campground is Sawmill Mountain. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If the weather is good here at Mallette Campground, you can go for a hike along the Burnt Ridge Trail; hey, Mallette Creek is a perfect local stream. The fine variety of local attractions and such a fine variety of outdoors recreation are good causes to come. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Grande; there are plenty of people from Cerro here. This is such a picturesque campground. Everybody close by loves skiing at Red River; when you're here it's always fun to take a look at Coyote Creek State Park. Mallette Campground gets very little rain; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This camp ground is to be found in the picturesque Sangre De Cristo Mountains. As long as you have a thing about the outdoors you will have a thing about New Mexico. This campground is always a diversion. Going for a hike along the Lost Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and whitewater paddling is good on Red River.
