Taos is a very popular ski area around here, and do take a hike on the Simpson Memorial Trail. If spending too much time indoors got you down, Don't
    fret; Lower Hondo Campground in New Mexico is a brilliant selection. Going to Cimarron Canyon State Park close to Lower Hondo Campground is a splendid thing to do.
Going for a hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood,
and a good spot to explore is Hondo Canyon.
A campground like this is too wonderful to miss. Lower Hondo Campground is right by the Number 3 Lift Trail; lakes are such serene locations, why not stop by Cow Lake. This camp ground is one of the good sites to camp here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
Lower Hondo Campground is usually a relatively dry site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January. Be careful coming to Lower Hondo Campground, you might not ever wanna return back home again. During your journey
 
to Lower Hondo Campground you'll meet some people from Valdez for sure, and get dripping wet paddling on Red River.

If the weather is magnificent here at Lower Hondo Campground, you can go for a hike along the Kit Carson Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio Grande. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a good time. Hiking along the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail is great fun, and a journey to Coyote Creek State Park when you're here is never a bad idea.
New Mexico is a brilliant location for outdoors people. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lower Hondo Campground. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lower Hondo Campground are in the 0's. Among the things you can do in the neighborhood of Lower Hondo Campground are swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, and hiking, so running out of fun stuff to do won’t happen.
