Lower Hondo Campground, Sangre De Cristo Mountains, New Mexico   So many cool things near Lower Hondo Campground, and when you spend some time here you will feel like a different person. On a perfect day at Lower Hondo Campground you can take a hike along the Number 3 Lift Trail, and you're sure to encounter some friendly people from Valdez here. Summertime highs at Lower Hondo     Campground ordinarily tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lower Hondo Campground. Going for a hike on the Twining Blue Lake Trail is always a tremendous adventure. This is really a delightful campground. The Simpson Memorial Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lower Hondo Campground, unsurprisingly you could also take a look at Cow Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. You've got to get out of the house, and Lower Hondo Campground is a brilliant local campground if you happen to be in New Mexico. Around Lower Hondo Campground you don’t get a lot of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is January. All the brilliant local attractions close by and all the   outdoors recreation will make you happy you came. With such a great deal of things to do in New Mexico you'll never get bored. So much fun stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too great to be true. Near Lower Hondo Campground you come across the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and Taos is a good local ski area. All year is a wonderful time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you go for the outdoors. There are splendid places to look at along the Kit Carson Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Rio Grande offers some great whitewater. The surroundings of this campground have so many things to offer. At Lower Hondo Campground you can observe Cuchillo del Medio, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio Grande. A spree to Coyote Creek State Park when you're here at Lower Hondo Campground is a delightful idea, and soar down the rapids of Red River in a kayak. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Lower Hondo Campground has it all. A glorious site like Cimarron Canyon State Park in the vicinity of Lower Hondo Campground is too brilliant to leave out, and nearby you discover wonderful sites like Hondo Canyon.
