Las Petacas Campground, New Mexico

  The brilliant local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation will make you happy you came. Rio Grande is a good whitewater spot close to Las Petacas Campground, and there's magnificent hiking along the Burnt Ridge Trail.
Cortado Canyon is a pleasant spot to have a look at near Las Petacas Campground, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Rio Pueblo de Taos. Sipapu Ski is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood; wonderful hiking is available along the Kit Carson Trail. Las Petacas Campground is esteemed by the folks of Taos Ski Valley.
    This campground is a wonderful place to explore. Las Petacas Campground is not far at all from Taos Ski Valley, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Red River. There's no way to get bored in New Mexico if you adore the outdoors.
There is so much fun stuff to do right next door to Las Petacas Campground; it is one of lots of fine campgrounds in this neighborhood. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, now's the time for going camping; Las Petacas Campground in New Mexico is a fine selection.
There are delightful places to look at along the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail. Lakes are perfect; Talpa Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Las Petacas Campground. The summit of Devisadero Peak can be seen from Las Petacas Campground. This is such a fun place for a campground.
 
Go for a hike on the Simpson Memorial Trail, and you beyond doubt have to stop by Coyote Creek State Park if you're here.
There's such a vast number of things to do at Las Petacas Campground including fishing, swimming, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so almost certainly you want to stay a while. Around Las Petacas Campground you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
And that's not all you can do here at Las Petacas Campground. Las Petacas Campground is in the vicinity of Cimarron Canyon State Park which is a picturesque site, and the North End Trail offers hiking at its best. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Las Petacas Campground; the night is fairly colder of course, usually in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Las Petacas Campground through the wintertime commonly plunge into the 0's.
