You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sipapu if you're here, and Rio Grande is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. This campground is so pretty. When you're here at La Vinateria Campground it's always fun to take a look at Coyote Creek State Park, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Simpson Memorial Trail. You can't spend all your time indoors; you need to get out of the house sometimes, and La Vinateria Campground in New Mexico is precisely what you need.
But wait, there's more to do close to La Vinateria Campground. You're almost certainly interested in lakes, Talpa Reservoir is one of those close by, and close by you find the Kit Carson Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. You can run the rapids of Rio Pueblo de Taos near La Vinateria Campground; going for a hike on the Burnt Ridge Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
La Vinateria Campground is a campground rather often visited by the folks of Taos Ski Valley. La Vinateria Campground is pretty dry ordinarily; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January.
