La Junta Campground, Sangre De Cristo Mountains, New Mexico

  La Junta Campground is situated in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Hiking along the Simpson Memorial Trail is wonderful fun, and Taos has delightful slopes and a friendly staff.
If spending too much time indoors got you down, No need to worry; La Junta Campground is a fine local campground if you happen to be in New Mexico. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are in fact abundant here at La Junta Campground. Take a hike on the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Number 3 Lift Trail. This place, the Sangre De
    Cristo Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things.

This campground is a pretty spot to explore. Getting to Red River from La
Junta Campground is trouble-free, and paddling on Rio Grande is so much fun. Not much rainfall falls here at La Junta Campground; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. The wonderful people of San Cristobal like to hang out nearby, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Grande.
If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this
 
area; whitewater paddling is great on Red River. So many amusing things right next door to La Junta Campground, and what a fine spot for camping it is.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to La Junta Campground, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, frequently in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at La Junta Campground. So many local attractions and such a nice variety of outdoors recreation are perfect motives to come. If you like the outdoors, you won’t be disenchanted; there's whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do.
