Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the fun stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, fishing, swimming, and hiking, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen. This is such a fun place for a campground. If you're here, you might
as well have a look at Wildcat Canyon; you can run the rapids of Jemez River. So much enjoyable stuff in the neighborhood of La Cueva Campground, absolutely unbelievable. The Encino Trail offers hiking at its best. Bandelier National Monument is a very tremendous location
to visit right next door to La Cueva Campground, and popping by Fenton Lake State Park is a splendid thing to do. Having a splendid time at La Cueva Campground is easy. A great spot for whitewater paddling close to La Cueva Campground is Rio Chama, and magnificent hiking is available
along the Palomas Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around La Cueva Campground; Perchas Trail is a tremendous local trail, and Rio Grande is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. This camp ground is one of the nice places to camp here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
Take a little tour to Sulphur Creek while you're here at La Cueva Campground, and Tent Rocks is a splendid place to explore while in the vicinity. La Cueva Campground is pretty dry commonly; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month is April.
