| This is a delightful campground. La Cueva Campground is a place with many visitors from Los Alamos, and what would winter be without some skiing at Pajarito Mountain. Having a fine time in the San Juan Mountains is uncomplicated. Hiking along the Padre Alonzo Trail is good fun; you need to have a look at Tent Rocks while you're here. This campground is so delightful. Have a great hiking adventure along the Bland Bear Springs Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio Grande. here at La Cueva Campground, you can go for a hike along the Perchas Trail, and Fenton Lake State Park is a magnificent place. La Cueva Campground gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is April. You'll
stumble on a wonderful lake called Lower Vallecito Reservoir near La Cueva Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Jemez River offers some splendid whitewater. As if La Cueva Campground wasn't sufficient, you can also go hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling,
and fishing, so in all probability you want to stay a bit. A lot of folks stay at this campground to be close to Fenton Lake State Park. Here at La Cueva Campground you can make out Cebollita Mesa, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Rio Chama. The good pick of local

The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for La Cueva Campground tend to be in the 0's.
