These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Near Italianos Campground you hit upon Italianos Canyon which is a good site to visit, and going for a hike along the Simpson Memorial Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. A lake nearby is Cow Lake, and there are some great whitewater spots on Red River. For the period of the months of |
summer at Italianos Campground highs are usually in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Italianos Campground. At this campground you will always have
| a great time. Italianos Campground is next to Coyote Creek State Park which is a pretty place, and at Italianos Campground you always meet someone from Valdez. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Italianos Campground is excellent! Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rio Grande; hiking along the Twining Blue Lake Trail is splendid fun. Italianos Campground is commonly a relatively dry site; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | |

Some of the water close by flows, like South Fork Rio Hondo, and Italianos Campground is right by the Number 3 Lift Trail. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Cimarron Canyon State Park is both pleasant and pretty,
and it's in close proximity to Italianos Campground, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Burnt Ridge Trail. While going to this region in New Mexico it's a wonderful idea to go camping too. This campground is a pretty place to have a look at. The slopes
of Taos are so inviting noone can resist, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Lost Lake Trail. This camp ground is one of the brilliant places to camp here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Italianos Campground is a top selection with folks of Valdez. Among
the things you can do right next door to Italianos Campground are fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's impossible to get bored. The good local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are fine causes to come.
