| | Going for a weekend of camping here in New Mexico is something you should do. This campground is so glorious. Near El Nogal Campground you hit upon the Kit Carson Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and a great location to visit close by is Acequia Madre Del Norte Del Canon. There are plenty of folks from Taos Ski Valley here at El Nogal Campground; what would winter be without some skiing at Sipapu Ski. Don't leave El Nogal Campground without visiting Cimarron Canyon State Park.

and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio Grande. Just can't get enough of El Nogal Campground. There are nice locations to discover along the Comales Sheep Driveway; Devisadero Peak can be seen from El Nogal Campground.
On a good
| day at El Nogal Campground you can take a hike along the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail, and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Talpa Reservoir is just a very short distance away. This campground has so many fun things to offer. Get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Red River; Coyote Creek State Park is worth visiting. El Nogal Campground is esteemed by the residents of Taos Ski Valley.

There is a magnificent hiking trail near El Nogal Campground called the Simpson Memorial Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Rio Pueblo de Taos offers some splendid whitewater.

much rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January. You've been indoors for too long, you've gotta get out; El Nogal Campground in New Mexico is a really splendid location to spend some time.
