  If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. El Vado Lake State Park is a pleasant location to stretch your legs a bit, and there's nice hiking along the Puerco Espin Trail. Echo Campground is a top choice campground with the folks in Youngsville. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is plentiful here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Heron Lake State Park is a pretty site any time of year, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Rio Chama.
All the fine local attractions nearby and so many
    things to do are good reasons to come. There are wonderful places to look at along the Encino Trail, and Echo Amphitheater is a pretty place any time of year. A lot of fun is at this campground. Going for a hike on the Hart Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and if you don’t
have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Chama.
Nearby lakes? Sure, Abiquiu Reservoir is in the vicinity of Echo Campground, and the Bancos Loop offers hiking at its best. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always charming. At Echo Campground cool stuff to do is bountiful, and you always have a glorious time when you're here.
This campground is a brilliant place to visit. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Pajarito Mountain is right next door to Echo Campground.
There's just no way someone
 
can get bored here at Echo Campground. People from Youngsville love to come to Echo Campground, and don't leave Echo Campground without first going for a hike along the Ojitas Polvadera Trail. Got cabin fever from too much time indoors, No cause for concern; Echo Campground, New Mexico is a glorious site for getting out.
High temperatures at Echo Campground all through the long summer days are in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Echo Campground. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. If you are in New Mexico through camping season, you have to go camping.
Echo Campground gets very little precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
