Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Cuchillo De Medio Campground is right by the Simpson Memorial Trail, and Taos is a very popular ski area around here. Cuchillo De Medio Campground is a campground rather frequently visited by the folks of Valdez.
Cuchillo De Medio Campground is usually a pretty dry site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January. If you fancy the outdoors, you won’t be saddened; there's fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so almost certainly you want to stay a while. A spree to Coyote Creek State Park invigorates the soul.
