  All the good local attractions around here and all the outdoors recreation are great reasons to come. There is a great hiking trail close to Capulin Campground called the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Rio Grande. Not much rainfall falls here at Capulin Campground; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is January.
Capulin Campground is extremely popular with the folks in Taos Ski Valley. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff near

Do explore Talpa Reservoir close to Capulin Campground, it's a scenic lake; going for a hike on the Simpson Memorial Trail is
always a brilliant adventure. Suazo Canyon is a nice place to spend some time at, and the snow is brilliant at Taos.
This campground is a charming location to stop by. Coyote Creek State Park is a splendid location to stop by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Capulin Campground; North End Trail is a wonderful local trail. Some of the things you can do here at Capulin Campground are fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. At this campground you will always have a pleasant
 
time. Go for a hike on the Kit Carson Trail; if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Pueblo de Taos.
Cimarron Canyon State Park is a glorious site, and pleasant hiking is available along the Burnt Ridge Trail.
Outdoors people generally love this segment of New Mexico.
At Capulin Campground all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Capulin Campground dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. So much fun stuff in the vicinity of Capulin Campground, and if you're seeking a glorious place to go camping, this is a good selection.
You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A tour to Fort Union National Monument is worthwhile, and get wet paddling on Red River.
