Camp Thunderbird Campground, Black Range, New Mexico

  Camp Thunderbird Campground is a very popular campground among visitors from Mimbres. Good hiking is available along the Allie Canyon Trail; naturally, everybody loves City of Rocks State Park. This is really a great campground. Don't leave Camp Thunderbird Campground without first going for a hike along the Wood Haul Wagon Road Trail; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Mimbres. Camp Thunderbird Campground is a location that is pretty waterless ordinarily; all through July this area sees the most rain; the driest month is April.
