Camp Long Campground, Sangre De Cristo Mountains, New Mexico   Many folks camp here for the purpose of being near Storrie Lake State Park. Going to Morphy Lake State Park in close proximity to Camp Long Campground is a great thing to do. Canovas Canyon is a great site to spend some time at, and the skiing at Ski Santa Fe is good. High temperatures at Camp Long Campground during the summertime are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows at Camp Long Campground all through the winter commonly descend into the 10's. There     is so much cool stuff next to Camp Long Campground, and it is a fun site for the whole family. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not enough time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pecos River; great hiking is available along the Gascon Trail.
