Ben Lilly Campground, San Francisco Mountains, New Mexico   There's absolutely no way to get bored in New Mexico if you love the outdoors. Ben Lilly Campground gets very little precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Ben Lilly Campground. Gila National Forest is a scenic place any time of year, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Francisco River. This campground is so glorious. There's some flowing water close by, Little Turkey Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay, and don't leave Ben Lilly Campground without first going for a hike along the Iron Creek Mesa Trail. There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Francisco Mountains. Go for a hike on the Middle Fork Trail.
