The peak of Black Mountain can be seen from Hancock Campground, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Osseo Trail.

This campground is so tremendous. An afternoon playing golf at Jack O'Lantern Golf Course is
always a pleasure, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Wilderness Trail. Everybody must go for a weekend of camping every so often, and Hancock Campground in New Hampshire is such a perfect spot.
During the summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Hancock Campground,
and the night is a tad colder of course, mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Hancock Campground temperatures plunge to the 0's.
