in a kayak, and the top of Birch Knoll is easily observed from Basin Pond Campground. Basin Pond Campground is a pleasant camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the White Mountains.
Be careful coming to the White Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. There's good hiking along the Laughing Lion Trail, and paddling on Wild River is so much fun. At this campground you will always have a wonderful time. Gotta ski! Black Mountain is a perfect location to do that; don't leave Basin Pond Campground without first going for a hike along the Mount Meader Trail. A visit to New Hampshire is not complete without some camping.
Lots of folks camp here when going to White Mountain National Forest. The annual rainfall here at Basin Pond Campground is about average; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and January on the other hand is the driest.
A round of golf at nearby Lake Kezar Country Club is a good way to kill some time; when you're here it's always fun to take a look at White Mountain National Forest. Basin Pond Campground is right by the East Royce Trail, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Center Conway here. Basin Pond Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among folks in Center Conway.
