Get wet paddling on Catawba River; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wolf Laurel since you're here. getting to Little Mountain Creek from Black Mountain Campground is easy. A campground like this is too tremendous to miss. Blue Ridge Parkway is a fine national park, and don't leave Black Mountain Campground without first going for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. So
much amusing stuff right next door to Black Mountain Campground, and to be at this place is good fun any time. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Near Black Mountain Campground you hit upon Dicks Gap which is a tremendous location to visit, and whitewater paddling is good on Toe River - South.
