Some activities here at Black Mountain Campground are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Get wet paddling on Catawba River; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wolf Laurel since you're here.
The good local attractions and the good variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back
    many times. This place, Black Mountain Campground, it simply has so much outdoors cool stuff. Black Mountain Campground is in the vicinity of Mount Mitchell State Park which is a gorgeous spot, and the summit of Little Mountain can be observed from Black Mountain Campground. Here
at Black Mountain Campground you'll probably meet some people from Burnsville; in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Curtis Creek.
A visit to North Carolina is not complete without some camping. This is a tremendous campground.
Black Mountain Campground is a magnificent camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Blue Ridge Mountains. The high level of precipitation makes Black Mountain Campground a rather wet place; the month with most of the rain is March, and December on the other hand is the driest.
 
Scores of people camp here in order to be right next door to Mount Mitchell State Park.
Black Mountain Campground is a campground that is fantastically prized by people in Burnsville. Finally, it's time to go camping once more, and Black Mountain Campground in North Carolina is exactly the place.
For the duration of the months of summer here at Black Mountain Campground, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Black Mountain Campground dip into the 10's. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. When you're here at Black Mountain Campground it's always fun to stop by Lake James State Park, and getting to Little Mountain Creek from Black Mountain Campground is easy. A campground like this is too tremendous to miss. Blue Ridge Parkway is a fine national park, and don't leave Black Mountain Campground without first going for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail.
So much amusing stuff right next door to Black Mountain Campground, and to be at this place is good fun any time. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Near Black Mountain Campground you hit upon Dicks Gap which is a tremendous location to visit, and whitewater paddling is good on Toe River - South.
