so you won’t get bored. Balsam Mountain Campground is positioned in the Great Smoky Mountains. The 3 feet of snow that fall annually at the close by ski mountain Cataloochee is splendid. Cataloochee has 4 good ski lifts, a magnificent 740-foot drop from top to bottom, and 10 ski trails. Cataloochee has 25 acres to ski on; 75% of the ski trails are beginner and intermediate which is magnificent for beginners; 25% of the ski trails are challenging.
