Going for a hike along the Caldwell Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Flat Creek Bald is a peak you can make out from Balsam Mountain Campground. So much cool stuff to do here at Balsam Mountain Campground, too splendid to be true. There are some fine whitewater spots on Straight Fork; hey, Gotta ski right? Cataloochee is a good place to do that. Ok, you've been
    cooped up for too much time, and Balsam Mountain Campground in North Carolina is the outdoors at its best.
Balsam Mountain Campground is positioned in the Great Smoky Mountains. Balsam Mountain Campground is prized by residents of Maggie Valley. This is such a fun site for
a campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Raven Fork, and hiking along the Palmer Creek Trail is glorious fun.
Going to Nantahala National Forest close to Balsam Mountain Campground is a perfect thing to do. So many local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are tremendous causes to come.
Be careful coming to the Great Smoky Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. If the weather is great here at Balsam Mountain Campground, you can go for a hike along the Baxter Creek Trail;
 
there's whitewater on Raven Fork for all you adrenaline people. At Balsam Mountain Campground during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's; overnight lows throughout the winter for Balsam Mountain Campground tend to be in the 20's. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you won’t be let down; there's hiking, and whitewater paddling, so probably you want to stick around for a while.
A delightful spot to explore in the neighborhood of Balsam Mountain Campground is Polls Gap, and a tour to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is worthwhile. Some close by water includes Flat Creek, and the Big Branch Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by.
Balsam Mountain Campground gets much water; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
Yeah, come up here to the Great Smoky Mountains for a tremendous time. You'll meet a lot of folks from Maggie Valley here, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Asbury Trail. Outdoors people generally like this part of North Carolina.
