Kootenai is a close by type II whitewater part, 14 miles from beginning to end. If by chance you are an expert kayak paddler, you should most likely try to find a different part of whitewater than this part of Kootenai to paddle. Whitewater rapids are perilous matters, so you have to check circumstances ahead of going. Good hiking is available along the Goat Mountain Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Troy here.
