Vigilante Campground, Big Belt Mountains, Montana   Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's totally impossible to get bored. Vigilante Campground gets very little     precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Vigilante Campground is positioned in a neighborhood with loads of entertaining stuff to do; it is a perfect escape from the mundane. A trip to Helena National Forest when you're here at Vigilante Campground is never a bad idea, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Smith River. High temperatures at Vigilante Campground throughout the warm months are in the 80's, and the night is quite cooler of course, generally in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Vigilante Campground. Scores of fun is at this campground. Don't leave Vigilante Campground without first going for a hike along the Hanging Valley National Recreation Trail; Swamp Gulch   is close by, and is a glorious place. The Big Belt Mountains scenery is always striking.
