At Tenmile Campground you always meet someone from Helena, and the Mount Helena National Recreation Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Bear Gulch is in the neighborhood of Tenmile Campground and is a wonderful place, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Boulder   River. Tenmile Campground is pretty dried out usually; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest.
