South Fork Campground is pretty dehydrated generally; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. This camp ground is one of the great sites to camp here in the Lewis Range. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Lewis Range is excellent! a fine spot to go. This campground has so many entertaining things to offer. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling near South Fork Campground is Blackfoot River. Camping in Montana is such a fun thing to do. During the summertime months highs here at South Fork Campground
reach the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at South Fork Campground descend into the 10's.
