| | The great local attractions and the great variety of outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back time and again. This camp ground is located in the picturesque Big Belt Mountains. At Skidway Campground amusing stuff to do is bountiful, and camping is such a fun activity, and this is a good place to do that.
Skidway Campground is pretty dried out typically; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Montana is a good place for campers.

Stock Drive Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Tenderfoot Creek. Yeah, come up here to the Big Belt Mountains for a magnificent time. Go for a hike on the Divide Trail, and while you're here, you could stop by Carl Creek.
| Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Skidway Campground. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Skidway Campground descend into the 10's. You absolutely must stop by Lewis and Clark National Forest if you're here at Skidway Campground; why not head up to Bridger Bowl and strap some skis to your feet.

Don't leave Skidway Campground without first going for a hike along the South Fork Trail.
Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so probably you want to stay a while.
