Sheridan Campground, Absaroka Range, Montana   The magnificent variety of local attractions and such a large number of things to do are splendid reasons to come. Scores of fun is at this campground. Taking a little spree to close by Point of Rocks is a nice idea. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. If the weather is tremendous here at Sheridan Campground, you can go for a hike along the Morrison Trail, and get drenched paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. This campground has it all. Everybody loves Cooney Reservoir State Park, and you can hit the slopes at Red Lodge Mountain close at hand. If you are in Montana all through camping season, you have to go camping. Sheridan Campground gets very little rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. Buffalo Bill State Park is worth a visit if you're at Sheridan Campground; get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone River.
