Such a glorious choice of attractions and such a glorious variety of outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came. So much enjoyable stuff in the Lewis Range,
just amazing. The Quartz Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork. It is very waterless here at River Campground generally; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month
is April.
If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great globe it would be. If you're visiting River Campground from Polebridge, you won't be the only one, and glide down the rapids of Flathead River - Middle Fork in a kayak. Scores of fun is at this campground.
You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Whitefish, and Red Meadow Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at.
It's impossible to run out of fun things to do near River Campground; you always have a nice time when you're here.
