Potosi Campground truly is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Whitewater paddling is fine on Boulder River, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Quartz Hill Trail. A journey to Potosi Campground wouldn’t be complete
 
without a trip to nearby Madison Buffalo Jump State Park, and hiking along the Pedro Trail is pleasant fun.
Going for a hike along the Currant Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Louise Lake National Recreation Trail. Potosi Campground is an old favorite with the folks in Pony.
Around Potosi Campground you don’t get a lot of precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month. As if Potosi Campground wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, whitewater paddling, swimming, and fishing, so it's out of the question to get bored.
