The Upper Whitetail Park Trail is a great hiking trail next to Mormon Gulch Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Boulder River. Mormon Gulch Campground is a campground rather frequently visited by the folks in Basin. This is such a good campground. Here at Mormon Gulch Campground you'll most likely meet some people from Basin, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Bear Gulch Trail. It's impossible to run out of amusing stuff to do close to Mormon Gulch Campground; it is a splendid escape from the city. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Mormon Gulch Campground nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great world it would be. Some   activities here at Mormon Gulch Campground are hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of exciting things to do won’t happen.
