Juniper Campground, Big Belt Mountains, Montana

This campground is a wonderful site to check out. Be careful coming to the Big Belt Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. On a glorious day at Juniper Campground you can take a hike along the Prospect Shafts Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Dearborn River.
Not much precipitation falls here at Juniper Campground; most of the rain falls during May; the driest month of
    the year is February. Juniper Campground is a good camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Big Belt Mountains.
Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the neighborhood of Juniper Campground. The slopes of Great Divide are so inviting nobody can resist, and you
can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the 1906 Trail. In Montana you never run out of outdoors fun things.
Juniper Campground is enormously popular with visitors from Wolf Creek. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, you have to get out, and Juniper Campground, Montana is a great site for getting out.
It's a great idea to take a look at Cottonwood Creek, it's close to Juniper Campground, and Ulm Pishkun State Park is a pretty location any time of year. Oxbow Bend is an exciting spot to go to while at Juniper Campground, and you'll most likely
 
meet some folks from Wolf Creek here. There's so much stuff to do at Juniper Campground including hiking, and whitewater paddling, so possibly you want to stay a bit.
That right there is a lot of amusing things already but it goes on, the Big Belt Mountains has it all. Float down the rapids of Dearborn River in a kayak, and a delightful place is Log Gulch. Summer at Juniper Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Juniper Campground.
This is such a fun site for a campground. Helena National Forest is a wonderful location to stretch your legs a bit, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Backside Trail.
