There are some great whitewater spots on Rosebud Creek - East; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Upper Granite Loop Trail. Having a magnificent time in the Absaroka Range is simple. While you're here at Emerald Lake Campground you will meet lots of folks from nearby Fishtail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit   Rosebud Creek - West. This is a nice campground. If the weather is perfect here at Emerald Lake Campground, you can go for a hike along the Lake Reno Trail; the snow is great at Red Lodge Mountain. High temperatures at Emerald Lake Campground throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Emerald Lake Campground are in the 0's. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Emerald Lake Campground. There's whitewater on Stillwater River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and going for a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
