Departure Point Campground, Big Belt Mountains, Montana

  If you are in Montana through camping season, you must go camping. Among the things you can do close to Departure Point Campground are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Good hiking is available along the Backside Trail; if you want to stop by some attention-grabbing stuff, stop by Oxbow Bend.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Go for a hike on the 1906 Trail; visiting Ulm Pishkun State Park is a magnificent thing to do.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing
    things the Big Belt Mountains has to offer. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dearborn River, and it's a good idea to take a look at Cottonwood Creek.
This campground is so wonderful. Departure Point Campground is to be found
in the Big Belt Mountains. Log Gulch is a good location to spend some time at, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Great Divide.
During the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Departure Point Campground. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Departure Point Campground tend to be in the 10's. It is very dry here at Departure Point Campground regularly; the month of May is the wettest with
 
most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest.
Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Big Belt Mountains is great! There's great hiking along the Prospect Shafts Trail, and the smiling folks of Wolf Creek like to hang out close by. Coming to this campground is always a glorious idea. A glorious place like Helena National Forest next to Departure Point Campground is too good to leave out, and Dearborn River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. It's just not possible to run out of exciting stuff to do next to Departure Point Campground; camping is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a wonderful place to do that.
So many local attractions and so much to do will definitely have you coming back many times. Departure Point Campground is a campground prized by the folks in Wolf Creek.
