Crossover Campground is a delightful camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Lewis Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bear Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Spotted Bear Mountain Trail. Crossover Campground is a good location of common rain; most of the snow falls through December while April is frequently the driest month.

You can run the rapids of Flathead River - Middle Fork near Crossover Campground, and Yellow Bay State Park is worth a visit. High temperatures at Crossover Campground all through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Crossover Campground temperatures dip to the 10's.
Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Lewis Range. Going for a hike on the Dirtyface-Logan Creek Trail is always a glorious adventure.
There is a good hiking trail near Crossover Campground called the Baptiste Lookout Trail, and as expected, everyone loves Flathead National Forest.
