A magnificent location to explore in the neighborhood of Colter Campground is Colter Pass, and going for a hike along the Crazy Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
Colter Campground is a good location of common rain; June
    is when you get the most rain here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This campground is always a joy. Rosebud Creek - West is a wonderful whitewater spot right next door to Colter Campground, and there are plenty of people from Cooke City here at
Colter Campground.
This camp ground is one of the fine spots to camp here in the Absaroka Range. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range, too pleasant to be true. Natural Bridge State Park is a perfect place to check out, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the North Crandall Trail.
While you're here at Colter Campground you can take a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail; if you're here, you could stop at Fisher Creek.
Everybody must go for a weekend of camping once in a while, and Colter Campground in Montana is a wonderful
 
selection. A good site for whitewater paddling near Colter Campground is Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and do take a hike on the Pilot Creek Trail. There's such a great deal of things to do at Colter Campground including swimming, fishing, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of entertaining things to do won’t happen.
Colter Campground is a top pick with residents of Cooke City. This is such a fun spot for a campground. Ram Pasture is a great location to stretch your legs a bit, and Colter Campground is right by the Republic Trail.
Man, is there heaps of fun things to do in the Absaroka Range. You can run the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone close to Colter Campground, and if you've had enough of Colter Campground, Lone Lake is close by. During the warm days of summer here at Colter Campground, high temperatures generally get into the 70's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, regularly in the 30's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Colter Campground. The delightful variety of local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation will positively have you coming back repeatedly.
