| | This campground is so delightful. Drift down the rapids of Blackfoot River in a kayak; Beavertail Hill State Park is worth stopping at. Paddling on Mill Creek is so much fun, and you have to unquestionably go to Blue Slide during your stay. Not much rainfall falls here at Blue Slide Campground; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Good hiking is available along the Blue Mountain Equestrian and Hiking Trail; hey, La Fray Creek is a nice local stream. While you're here at Blue Slide |
Campground, you could also stop at wonderful Milltown Reservoir. This is truly a glorious campground. There are nice spots to discover along the Iris Point Trail, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Rock Creek. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Blue Slide Campground;
| BLue Mountain Nature Trail NRT is a great local trail, and if you desire a little side tour, try Johnson Gulch. There's more to do close to Blue Slide Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, fishing, swimming, and hiking, so perhaps you want to stay for a while. Don't leave Blue Slide Campground without first going for a hike along the Solomon Ridge Trail, and beautiful scenery and splendid skiing is what you obtain at Marshall Mountain. true. Lots of folks from Milltown come to Blue Slide Campground, and don't leave without dropping by Placid Lake State Park. Through the long summer days here at Blue Slide Campground, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's; the overnight is quite chillier of course, ordinarily
in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Blue Slide Campground temperatures dip to the 10's. This segment of Montana is always a delight to go to throughout camping season.
