Bighorn Campground is right by the Quigg Peak Trail; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Butte Cabin Ridge Trail. Around Bighorn Campground you don’t get a lot of rain; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October.
| Capron Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and Deerlodge National Forest is both perfect and pretty. This campground is so good. Hiking along the Butte Cabin Ridge Trail is pleasant fun, and Rock Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Bighorn Campground. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Bighorn Campground.
