II-III, 3-mile-long Hebgen Reservoir to Quake Lake section of whitewater on Madison River is a lot of fun. Raft paddlers on this sweep of Madison River should hold a little bit of skill in kayak paddling. Check restrictions before heading out on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe and sound. Beaver Creek Campground 1 is right by the Cutoff Trail, and Hebgen Reservoir is a fine lake close by.
