Deerlodge National Forest is worth going to if you're at Badger Bay Campground, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Combination Trail Number 3.
You don’t have to go far from Badger Bay Campground to spot the water at Georgetown Lake Dam; Badger Bay Campground is not far at all from Philipsburg. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the exciting stuff you can do is whitewater paddling,
 
and hiking, so running out of entertaining stuff to do won’t happen.
Through the warm months at Badger Bay Campground temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Badger Bay Campground all through the winter typically sink into the 10's. Get covered with water paddling on Rock Creek; the Boulder Lakes Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by.
