This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Take a hike on the Snake Trail, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Sturgeon River. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Stony Brook Campground, and the overnight is quite colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Stony Brook Campground are in the-10's. Stony Brook Campground is right by the Link     Lake Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Fork River. Scenic State Park is a magnificent location to pop by on a lovely day. You've been indoors for too long, and Stony Brook Campground is a good local campground if you happen to be in Minnesota. Have a great hiking adventure along the Valley River Trail; a spree to McCarthy Beach State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. This campground is a lovely place to check out. Hiking along the Stingy Lake Trail is splendid fun, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Fork River. The annual precipitation here at Stony Brook Campground is about average; most of the rain falls through June; the driest month of the year is February. If you are in Minnesota during camping season, you should go camping. Going for a   hike along the Holstrum Spur Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Stony Brook Campground is a place with many visitors from Side Lake.
