There's a splendid 0.3-mile-long class I-II+(V+) whitewater part on Saco River close by, the Steep Falls segment. The Steep Falls segment of Saco River is suggested for experienced paddlers only. Check   restrictions prior to departure on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe. Philip Mountain is clearly visible from Hemlock Hills Campground. Lakes? Sure, Sebago Lake is nearby.
