While you're here at Dixons Campground it's a delightful idea to explore The Basin, and visiting Odiorne State Park is a magnificent thing to do. Dixons Campground is a wet site that gets a large amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while January is usually the driest month.
 
Gulf Hill is clearly visible from Dixons Campground, and swamps like Rush Swamp right next door to Dixons Campground make for good sites to stop at. Spend the day on the beach at Little Beach if you're here at Dixons Campground; glide down the rapids of Atlantic Ocean in a kayak.
Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so it's totally impossible to get bored. Man, is there a load of fun stuff to do in close proximity to Dixons Campground. Dixons Campground is not far at all from Cape Neddick; Vaughan Woods Memorial State Park is a glorious place to check out on a gorgeous day.
No need to travel far to check out out of the ordinary stuff like York Cliffs. This campground is so pleasant. If you're here at Dixons Campground, do take a visit to Oarweed Cove, and paddling on Great Works River is so much fun. At Dixons Campground enjoyable stuff to do is abundant, and you always have a good time when you're here.
