Scotts Cove Campground, Maryland   I live near Scotts Cove and have never seen a camp ground there. This is a reservoir.  Nor is there skiing at this location.  It is a beautiful area for locals to picnic at and take a walk. There is a great hiking trail near Scotts Cove Campground called the Swamp Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Little Patuxent River offers some nice whitewater. A journey to Patapsco Valley State Park invigorates the spirit, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Hobbit's Glen Golf Club. Be careful coming to Scotts Cove Campground, you might not ever wanna go home again. Going for a hike along the Valley Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This campground has everything. Everybody loves Rosaryville State Park, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Western Ridge Trail. Some folks stay at Scotts Cove Campground so they can go to Greenbelt Park. During the warmest time   of the year at Scotts Cove Campground highs are regularly in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Scotts Cove Campground. Loads of fun is at this campground. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Cross Creek Golf Club, and a visit to Greenbelt Park is worthwhile. Hiking along the White Horse Trail is pleasant fun, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Rocky Gorge Reservoir is just a very short distance away. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Scotts Cove Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Patapsco River; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Gunpowder Golf Course is in close proximity. Scotts Cove Campground is a quite wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. On a great day at Scotts Cove Campground you can take a hike along the Rock Creek Park Bike Trail, and glide down the rapids of Patuxent River in a kayak. At Scotts Cove Campground enjoyable stuff to do is abundant, and spending time at this campground is very pleasant. Scotts Cove Campground is a very well loved campground by folks of Laurel.
