Paddling on Back Creek is so much fun, and if you haven’t been to Appalachian National Scenic Trail, you should schedule some time for it since you're here.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at McCoys Ferry Campground. Visiting Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail is just something you need to do if
 
you haven't yet, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Big Pool. Get dripping wet paddling on Sleepy Creek; McCoys Ferry Campground is close to Greenbrier State Park which is a striking place.
At McCoys Ferry Campground cool stuff to do is bountiful; what a delightful location for camping it is. Good hiking is available along the Richmond Trail, also Cranberry Branch Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here.
We must all go camping for a couple of days sometimes; McCoys Ferry Campground in Maryland is the outdoors at its greatest. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at McCoys Ferry Campground. There are nice locations to discover along the Lockard Trail, and nearby you hit upon the Lincoln Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. You should stop by The Neck when you're here at McCoys Ferry Campground; you absolutely should pop by Cacapon State Park since you're here.
The splendid choice of local attractions, and so much stuff to do will make you glad you came.

If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Woodbrier Golf Course; hey, Green Spring Run is a great local stream. McCoys Ferry Campground is liked by folks in Big Pool.
