Places like Penwood   State Park are perfect to explore; the snow is fine at Blandford. This is such a fun spot for a campground. Johnson Brook is a gorgeous stream that is worth visiting, and you're sure to run into some good people from Southwick here. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Little River, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Richard Trail. A round of golf at nearby Southwick Country Club is a glorious way to kill some time; you don’t have to go far from Golden Acres Campground to make out the water at Congamond Lakes Middle Dike. During the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Golden Acres Campground. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Golden Acres Campground are in the 0's. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Golden Acres Campground. Edgewood Golf Course is a glorious golf course nearby, and the peak of Millers Hill can be seen from Golden Acres Campground. Loads of people stay at Golden Acres Campground to visit nearby Babbs Beach.
