A glorious site like General Burnside Island State Park in the vicinity of Sawyer Campground is too delightful to leave out, and the Lakeside South Trail offers hiking at its best. A campground like this is too perfect to miss. Take a hike on the Twin Branch Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cumberland
River. Throughout the warm months at Sawyer Campground temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Sawyer Campground.
Near Sawyer
Campground you locate Cold Spring Hollow which is a wonderful spot to stop by, and obviously Long Branch is a picturesque stream that is worth checking out. Sawyer Campground is to be found in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
