| | There's so much to do at Great Meadow Campground including hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. For the period of the summer here at Great Meadow Campground, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Great Meadow Campground dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This camp ground is located in the beautiful Cumberland Plateau Mountains.

Great Meadow Campground is an old favorite with campers from Stearns. This is such a beautiful campground.
There are some great whitewater spots on Cumberland River - Big South Fork, and some close by water includes Turkey Branch. Kentucky is a perfect spot for campers. Such a wonderful pick of attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation will absolutely have you coming back time and again. The
high level of rain makes Great Meadow Campground a relatively wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October.
If you come at the right time of year, Cumberland River - Little South Fork offers some great whitewater, and the Hidden
Passage Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. All year is a great time in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Going for a hike on the Island Trail is always a good adventure, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Racoon Loop. It's
completely out of the question to run out of fun stuff to do near Great Meadow Campground; it's one of those spots where everything is perfect.
If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be. On a magnificent day at Great Meadow Campground you can take a hike along the Deer Loop; General Burnside Island State Park is a great location to stretch your legs a bit.
