There's a good type II-III(IV) segment of whitewater close by on Laurel River, the 2-mile-from-beginning-to-end Below Laurel River Lake section.       The Below Laurel River Lake section of Laurel River is suggested for paddlers of medium know-how. You should check restrictions before heading out; whitewater rafting and kayaking could turn perilous. Places like Cumberland Falls   State Park are great to stop by; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Bee Rock Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This is a popular place for people from London; lakes are such calm places, why not stop by Laurel River Lake. This is such a great campground.
