campground has so many exciting things to offer. The wonderful folks of Shoup like to hang out close by, and naturally, everybody loves Painted Rocks State Park. You can run the rapids of Panther Creek right next door to Yellowjacket Campground, and Yellowjacket Campground is right
by the Gant Ridge Trail. Some activities here at Yellowjacket Campground are swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do. That right there is heaps of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all.
The summit of Sugar Loaf can be observed from Yellowjacket Campground; a journey to Salmon National Forest revitalizes the spirit. This campground is so delightful. A glorious location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Yellowjacket Campground is Panther Creek; hiking along
the Ship Island Trail is delightful fun. This section of Idaho is always a pleasure to stop by through camping season. The Waterfall Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you've had enough of Yellowjacket Campground, Cathedral Lake is close by.
